2010 Registration information

We are working on getting the 2010 Registration ONLINE!!!!! There will still be the option to mail in the Registration, but we are trying to bring Surrey Ball Hockey into the 21st Century by having a few new things this year.

The new thing we are trying to get done soon are:

• Online Registration
• Online Schedule for all levels
• Online Referee Assigning

There will be many changes to the Website over the next few Months, so stay tuned.

The Online Registration will be made easy, just fill out the info and pay VIA Paypal, Visa or by sending in a cheque. We will require that ALL the info be filled out, this way we can have a full list of all kids playing, as well as a list of those parents that are interested in Coaching or any other type of volunteering.

Equipment Return Day!!!!!

Attention to ALL coaches.

We are holding a equipment return day on Saturday July 11/09, from 10am-2pm, Cloverdale Arena.

The equipment should be washed and brought to the Cloverdale Arena on this day. If you do not have all your jerseys, please come anyway and return what you have.

PLEASE MAKE SURE TO HAVE ALL JERSEYS WASHED!!!!!!!!!!

2010 Registration

We will be doing things a bit different for next year. We will be having ONLINE registration (Coming soon) as well as mail out. With the online registration, you will be able to register your child, pay online and get a recipt.

If you are not comfortable with paying online, you will still be able to register online and send in payment. We are doing this to try to streamline next years registration and get things to move more smoothly.

We are also shooting at getting registration done 4 weeks earlier than usual, and haveing evaluations and drafts done well in advance. This will allow our teams to have more practice times before the season starts. We will still hold registration at a few rinks as we always have, but these will also be done earlier. Most years we hold registration at local rinks in mid/late February, we are hoping to have these in Mid/Late January instead.

We are working on Many new things for the 2010 season, Website, online registration, online scheduling, online referee scheduling, etc…. Please come back every few weeks to see when these will be done.

2009 Provincial Tournament Results.

The 2009 Provincial Tournament is now complete. The tournament was a great success and went very well. ALL teams competed very well and had a GREAT time.

Surrey Minor Ball Hockey would like to give a HUGE thanks to all the people that helped out with 50/50, draw table, and a myriad of other tasks.

And a Special thanks go out to all those from West Coast Ball hockey for ALL they did. GREAT JOB!!!!!

Peanut Finals- Surrey vs Delta, with Surrey winning 4-1 (SURREY WINS!!!)

Pup Finals- Ridge Meadows vs Delta, with Ridge Meadows winning 2-0 (Ridge Meadows Wins!!!)

PeeWee Finals- Surrey vs Ridge Meadows, with Ridge Meadows winning 2-0 (Ridge Meadows Wins!!)

Minor Finals- Richmond vs Delta, with Delta winning 6-3 (Delta Wins!!!)

Major Finals- Surrey vs Valley, with Surrey winning in a action packed game 9-8 in OT (Surrey Wins!!!)

Junior – Delta vs Richmond, with Delta winning 8-5 (Delta Wins!!!)

Volunteers needed for the Provincials!!

We are in need of volunteers to help out at the provincials this year. We have been asking for people to step up and help out, but so far only a few people have. We don’t have much time, the provincials start in a few weeks.

We don’t need a ton of your time, (A Few hours would be GREAT!!!!!)

We need people to help run the raffle table, help organize teams as they come in (Let them know where they need to be, dressing rooms etc….) plus a few other various small jobs.

2009 Provincial Schedule Now complete.

AGM THIS COMING MONDAY, JUNE 1st @ 7pm, Fleetwood arena

ALL teams must have at least one representative at the AGM  Monday, June 1st.

Make sure to bring you COMPLETED player evaluation forms, if you don’t, you will not get your pictures and medals for your team!!!!

We are in need of new executives for the 2010 season. At the meeting we will be asking for people to step up to help fill the following positions:

-Registrar ( Joe is retiring and cannot continue to be the Registrar)

-Scheduler

-Head Coach & Chief (To oversee ALL Coaches) New Position

We Really need people to step up and take on these positions. Though these are year round positions, the time commitment is low throughout the off season (July-Jan) , and a few hours a week just before and during the season.

For an organization to be successful and for all of our children to benefit from this sport, we rely on volunteers to help out to allow the association to run smoothly. If you can help out, please step forward and let us know. You can speak to Al Deagle (President) or Rick Passek (Vice President) before the meeting.

We will be Dealing with many important issues, and need as many coaches, Parents, Players, and Ref’s there as possible. This is the time for ALL of you to be able to make a difference in the league and voice your opinions, concerns, and Ideas.

The AGM will be at the Fleetwood arena on Monday June 1st from 7-?

ALL extecutive members are asked to be there at least 30 minutes before the meeting to help with set up.

ATTENTION DIVISIONAL HEAD COACHES!

Divisional head coaches should be getting standings from all Coaches in there division. Playoffs are getting close, and we will need to know the standings to be able to make playoff match ups.
